Thought :
We all have an inner melody. Sometimes we try to tune into someone else's. But we risk losing our own melody and finding ourselves at odds with who we really are. Cultivate your melody and play it because it has so much to offer.
The painting *Inner Melody* explores the idea of connecting with our inner rhythm, our personal music that harmonizes our balance and nurtures our well-being.
The background of the painting is an ethereal canvas, composed of misty shades of white, light blue, and dark blue. These hues evoke a peaceful universe, conducive to reflection and introspection. The gradients of blue also recall the vastness of human thought, like an opening to the infinite.
At the center, a full moon in violet tones immediately draws the eye. This soft, calming color symbolizes dreams, serenity, and meditation. Purple is often associated with spirituality and the calming of intense emotions, such as anger or anxiety, thus reinforcing the message of inner peace conveyed by the work.
Around the moon, a branch begins and unfolds. Starting as a bare and austere stem in the upper right, it gradually transforms into a complex network of branches, leaves, and finally, violet and red fruits. This metamorphosis embodies the idea of growth and flourishing, evoking the natural cycle of life.
The woman, the central figure, is depicted from the bust up. She wears an olive green tunic adorned with a wide pale pink belt, her style evoking both ethnic and tribal aesthetics, strengthening her connection with nature and the primal elements. Her thick, black hair, dotted with small stars, suggests the infinity of her thoughts and imagination.
White climbing plants weave through her hair and a flower crown, highlighting her deep bond with nature, as well as the idea of spiritual and emotional growth. She seems to embody a symbiosis with her surroundings, where every detail – vegetation, colors, and celestial elements – reflects a quest for harmony.
Presented in profile, with closed eyes, she appears to detach from the outside world to better connect with her inner self. Her posture – with her chin slightly extended – reveals an attentive and profound listening, as if she is straining to hear a subtle, almost imperceptible melody.
It is not always easy to listen to our inner music, that truth which is uniquely ours. The pressure we impose on ourselves or the external influences can cloud this harmony. This painting invites us to pause, to take a moment of voluntary isolation to refocus and reconnect with ourselves. In this space of calm, our soul finds refuge and rebirth.
