Change, a painting of metamorphosis and human resilience

Every day is a new challenge. You wonder every morning what your lot will be. But do not be afraid of what has not yet happened. Every battle brings change. You may think that this battle was lost or won according to your criteria. But your criteria is not necessarily what will turn out to be best for you. Have faith and continue on your path.
The painting Change embodies personal transformation and the trials of life that forge, transform, and strengthen us. It illustrates the idea that every experience, whether perceived as a triumph or a setback, is a step toward resilience and growth.
The misty background of the piece, with its gradient hues shifting from deep black to luminous white through shades of gray, evokes emotional progression, from moments of darkness to flashes of clarity. The star-filled sky suggests the vastness of the universe and the myriad influences shaping our lives.
In every corner of the painting, vegetal motifs contrast with this ethereal backdrop. Each cluster, composed of three large pale-blue leaves veined in white and delicate white leafy stems, emerges from the shadows, symbolizing life’s unexpected lessons and surprises.
At the center, the bust of a young woman rests gently on two branches of shrubs with green leaves and small red berries. This natural foundation reflects her connection to the living world, while her long black hair, studded with stars, symbolizes the strength gained through her experiences.
Her face is adorned with details rich in symbolism: a solar tattoo on her forehead evokes light and vitality, while small black hearts under her eyes represent resilience in the face of emotional trials. Two butterflies, one blue and the other yellow, perch near her eyes, with a third adorning her neck as a necklace, symbolizing metamorphosis and rebirth.
Around her neck float two wide blue rings, reminiscent of planetary orbits. These rings add movement to the composition while symbolizing the infinite cycles of life and evolution.
Her steady gaze, directed at the viewer, conveys unshakable determination. Her pursed lips reflect a deep resolve: she is ready to face challenges and embrace the changes necessary for growth.
Above her, a large golden star illuminates the scene, serving as a benevolent force guiding her through transformation. This painting celebrates humanity’s capacity to evolve, learn, and renew itself in the face of every challenge.
