The painting titled Twilight song depicts an imaginary bird, entrusted with accompanying the daylight in its final bow as it makes way for the night.
Against a background delicately tinted with gray, blue, and pink, evoking the pastel hues of a sunset, an oval door opens. This door leads to a profound darkness, an infinitely black night barely disturbed by the soft light of a golden full moon and a few scattered stars that twinkle timidly.
The central space is inhabited by dense and vibrant vegetation, suspended between two worlds. It seems irresistibly drawn toward the darkness of the door, absorbed in a mysterious dance. A singular branch stands out, bearing bilobed leaves or flowers resembling those of the ginkgo, but in a vivid orange crossed by black veins. In the heights, a fantastic fan-shaped plant, a deep green scattered with black and white patterns, extends its bold shapes. A pale pink flower and a climbing vine in white and red hues complete this transitional scene, adding a subtle yet powerful contrast to the whole.
Perched on this branch is the fantastic bird, master of this nocturnal symphony. Its plumage of bright turquoise blue and warm orange immediately captures the eye. A small crest elegantly crowns its head, where a solar symbol shines, a reminder of its close bond with the daylight. On its back, a black and gray solar mandala spreads, emphasizing its symbolic role as a guide in this cosmic transformation.
Its tail, in contrast to the rest of its body, displays delicate pastel pink tones, evoking an almost fragile softness. Its singular shape, reminiscent of a plume, seems designed to sweep away the last traces of light and color, allowing the night to settle in fully.
Proud and serene, the bird begins its enchanting song, a melodic call meant to gather the scattered colors and escort them gently into the nocturnal realm. Through this song, it offers the day a well-deserved rest while inviting the viewer to close their eyes and surrender to the dream.
