Listen, a painting of the art of perceiving the invisible
The painting Listen is a work full of softness, rendered in a delicate palette ranging from pale pink to pastel orange. The whole piece invites a dreamlike atmosphere, almost meditative.
Amidst a profusion of strange and fantastical flowers, emerges the bust of a young woman facing the viewer, as if suspended in a moment of introspection. Some plants feature black foliage adorned with yellow dots, reminiscent of insect patterns or scattered stars. Others, in velvety pastel pink, showcase globular flowers with lines that end in fine punctuations, creating an impression of lightness and mystery.
Behind the woman's head, a circle decorated with scale-like motifs stands out, enveloped in geometric figures repeated in a gradient of pink. This circle, almost mandala-like, seems to evoke an aura or halo, reinforcing the idea of spiritual connection or meditation.
The young woman, with a serene face, has long, wavy red hair that cascades around her shoulders. Her forehead bears a solar tattoo, from which red arrows extend, pointing both upward and downward, as an invitation to find balance between the earthly and the celestial. Beneath her closed eyes, two small black hearts add a touch of symbolism, reflecting both vulnerability and emotional intensity. Her slightly pursed mouth expresses silent concentration, as if she is trying to capture imperceptible whispers.
Her ears, adorned with small red flowers carefully inserted, seem almost amplified by the floral backdrop. She wears a short-sleeved white dress, finely embroidered with pink geometric patterns, evoking a traditional aesthetic blended with modern simplicity. Beneath the dress, a pale pink top is adorned with a solar symbol on the shoulder, reinforcing the sense of continuity between her outward appearance and the inner symbolism of this attentive woman.
